v17.1.x Exchange 2007 not seen as a plug-in workaround

NovaBACKUP Business Essentials v17.1.x and Microsoft Exchange 2007 not seen as a plug-in workaround.

There is a known issue with NovaBACKUP Business Essentials v17.1.x in regards to Microsoft Exchange 2007 in that the plug-in object for that edition of Microsoft Exchange will not be found/discovered by the backup client software.  The issue will appear by looking in your "Backup" tab at the left of the screen for "Microsoft Exchange" in the area where the plug-ins are showing.  Version 17.1.x will most likely not show "Microsoft Exchange" in the list of select-able plug-in items to back up if you have Microsoft Exchange 2007 in place.  The other versions of Exchange are not affected by this issue in version 17.1.x. 

There is a simple workaround for this issue described next.  Know that this issue WILL be fixed in the next release of NovaBACKUP software but to correct this before that is released you can follow this guide (at this time of writing the article, 09/17/2015, the latest version of NovaBACKUP is v17.1.804 which does have this bug).  You will need to utilize the latest version of NovaBACKUP Business Essentials v17.5.1423 to fix this issue.  You can download that specific setup program for that version using this direct download link.  Upgrade your existing version to v17.5 and then load NovaBACKUP.  You should now find that you can see Microsoft Exchange from the list of detected plug-ins from the left side of the "Backup" tab.
