Restoring VMWare to an alternate location

After you have restored the image file to a .nvm format file in a temporary location, you will need to run this command line specifying the host, user/password, name and data store location.

 

C:\Program Files\NovaStor\NovaStor NovaBACKUP\vmware>vmware restore --host 192.168.0.45 --user root --password PASSWORD --vmname "WinXP Restored from 46" --file "C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\zz-winxp\VMware\192.168.0.46\ZZ - Win XP x86\ZZ - Win XP x86.nvm" --datastore "AG-SCSISTOR02"
