Tape Alert Errors

These types of errors are called tape alerts and are generated by the device. The software never makes any determinations of its own as to the condition of the tapes. My guess would be faulty drive or tape, best would be to troubleshoot the tape device outside of the software and run a cleaning cycle or two if you haven't lately.
