If you are using the latest version of Webroot SecureAnywhere (220.127.116.11) and are upgrading from a prior version of NovaBACKUP to version 14 you may run into an error where NovaBACKUP crashes instantly after attempting to launch. We have identified this issue as a conflict between Webroot's Realtime Shield and the upgrade process of NovaBACKUP. We have notified Webroot regarding the issue and we are working to resolve / correct the error on both sides but in the meantime we have identified the following two workaround options:
Disable Webroot Realtime Shield
Under the Webroot SecureAnywhere console you can choose to "Suspend" the Realtime Shield. With the shield disabled NovaBACKUP 14 will work following an upgrade.
Uninstall / Reinstall Webroot
If NovaBACKUP 14 is upgraded / installed while Webroot is uninstalled it will continue to function without issue after Webroot has been reinstalled. If you still have your Webroot SecureAnywhere installation file you can simply uninstall Webroot, upgrade NovaBACKUP 14, and then reinstall Webroot to maintain the full functionality of both programs.
