Central Management Console

Fault:


When attempting to log into the Central Management Console you receive the following error:
"There were some errors on the server while processing the request.  Please contact the administrator."
 

Cause:


This is caused when you install the Central Management Console utilizing "Windows Authentication" to access the database.  Microsoft changed the default permissions of the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM user within SQL Server 2012.  Because this user is the default user that the Central Management Console Service runs on, you will not be able to properly read or write to the SQL Database when you attempt to log in.  
 

Fix:


You will need to modify the permissions of the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM user within the SQL Management Studio or run the Management Server service as a specific Administrator user.  To change the permissions of the SYSTEM user, please see the images below.  Once you have modified the permissions you will need to restart your SQL server.
