A bug in the NovaBACKUP client version 21.1.1219.1 causes the error "Error e0020007: Invalid command specified. - Job processing failure" when attempting to restore files from backups containing UNC network paths (even for a single UNC node name). This affects both Cloud Backup (S3) and Local Backup. A fix is planned for a future release, but no release date is available yet.

Save Current Settings:
- In the NovaBACKUP client, go to Default Settings > CMon Server and save or screenshot all settings.
- Copy the existing 'C:\ProgramData\NovaStor\NovaStor NovaBACKUP\' folder, or at least the Profiles folder under that folder stated above, at the bare minimum. If the NovaBACKUP client is either not installed on the C: drive, or if you have configured the NovaBACKUP User Data Folder to utilize another folder, please also copy that folder as well, in addition to the first stated folder. This is to help remember the CMon Server settings, etc. and is for our Support team to be able to help you regarding this issue if you will be performing these instructions on your own.

Uninstall Current Version:
- Uninstall 21.1.1219.1 via Control Panel > Programs and Features. Ensure you do not delete user data during uninstallation.

Install Older Version:
- Download and install the older 21.1.1010.1 client version:
- Server Agent (for Windows Server OS): Download Link
- PC Agent (for non-Server Windows OS): Download Link
- Alternatively, find it under "Previous Versions" on the NovaBACKUP Downloads page.
- Download and install the older 21.1.1010.1 client version:

Disable Auto-Updates:
- After installation, go to Default Settings > Notification and disable the two update-related options to prevent the software from upgrading automatically.

Restore CMon Server Settings (Optional):
- Re-enter the saved CMon Server settings and restart the service if needed.

Attempt Restore:
- Restore files to a local hard drive folder (not a UNC network path). If the restore fails, try restoring a single file from a single UNC node name instead of multiple files or mixed paths.

- If the restore works with the older version, continue using it until a fixed version is released. If issues persist, contact NovaBACKUP support for further assistance.
