Backup/Restore - MS Exchange Restore
General
The MS Exchange restore is used to restore MS Exchange databases.
Opening dialog
- 1. Go to Backup/Store > Restore.
- ⇨ The Restore Wizards window is opened.
- 2. Click MS Exchange.
- ⇨ The wizard searches the system for MS Exchange databases. The MS Exchange Restore window is opened, showing the existing servers.
- ⇨ The Restore Wizards window is closed.
Selecting databases for restore
- 1. In the Server/Database panel, select the Exchange server and the database.
- 2. In the Restore Point Selection section, select the backups you wish to restore.
- 3. Click [Restore].
- ⇨ The Restore Options window is opened.
Selecting target options
After the databases to be restored have been selected, you can select the options for the target drive.
- 1. Select the desired options.

Use original destination
|
Restore the database to its original location.

Use following alternative destination
|
Restore the database to a different location.
Specify the alternative location by clicking [Browse] or by entering its path in the text field.

- 1. Click [Restore] to start the restore.
Result
The restore is carried out. You can monitor its progress in Monitoring & Restoring > Monitoring. The data selected for restore is written to the target node. The result of the restore is subsequently displayed in the Report Manager.
