Configuring the Mail Server

General description

The mail server is configured in this dialog box. A test e-mail checks that the definition is correct.

Note: NovaStor Technical Support Representatives are not able to configure your SMTP settings for you.

Opening the dialog

1. Go to the menu bar and click on (ige0qjt2.jpg) Configuration and on the Mail tab.

⇨ The Configuration > Mail dialog box for configuring the e-mail server opens.

The address of the sender

The name of the sender

This is used for authentication

Port

Use TLS

Enabled: SMTP server port. The Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption protocol is used.

Test E-mail

You can have a test e-mail sent to your address to test the settings. Enter your e-mail address in the text field Test-Email and click on [Send]. If the settings are correct, you will receive a test e-mail from your Nova backup server.

[Save]

Saves the entries and closes the window.

[Close]

Closes the window without saving the entry.
