Please Provide Advanced Logs for the CMon server and a client machine:
Please follow the instructions at novastor.com/logs to gather and submit advanced system logs for the CMon Server and a client machine using the NovaStor LogCollector.exe utility.
The current version of this utility can be obtained at novastor.com/logcollector
Please provide the following CMon log files for analysis
(the LogCollector does not gather the service and trace logs).
CMon 19.x and newer
For an analysis of the connection between CMon server and clients, please zip and send us the log files of the CMon server and a client:
On the CMon SERVER
Stop
managementServer.service
before gathering all logs, restart it after completed.Copy, Zip, and Send the following log files

On a NovaBACKUP CLIENT install experiencing trouble

This utility will request your support ticket number.
Backup Client Agent Service Logs
- Stop the service
Backup Client Agent Service
- Open the directory:
C:\Program Files\NovaStor\NovaStor NovaBACKUP
- Copy/zip/send the file
agentsvc.log
- Please name this
######_Client.zip
(where ###### is your support ticket number)- Restart the service
Backup Client Agent Service
If any of these files are large (>300MB server or client)
- Please delete the log files after stopping the services.
- Restart the services.
- Wait a few hours and some backup cycles until the files have been filled with information again.
- Then copy/zip/send the files as described above.
If the resulting .ZIP file(s) are larger than 50MB
Please use http://www.novastor.com/uploads to send the files. You will need to have a Support Ticket created to provide the requested ticket number so these files can be linked to your ticket.
