In order to obtain the NovaBACKUP Granular Restore application you will first of all need to first register for that software component. You can only do that via a licensed edition of the NovaBACKUP Business Essentials software, version 18 and above, installed with a valid license in place and fully activated. In addition the machine that you have the NovaBACKUP Business Essentials software installed on will be required to have internet connection to obtain the Granular Restore software. This will not work if running the Trial or a Not For Resale (NFR) edition of NovaBACKUP.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Load the NovaBACKUP Business Essentials software and then click on the "Help" menu -> "On The Web" -> now choose "Granular Restore for MS SQL and Exchange". This will attempt to load a web page via your web browser, once the web page loads, and if the registration attempt was successful, then you can then download NovaBACKUP Granular Restore software from the resulting web page if the registration was successful. If you do NOT see "Granular Restore for MS SQL and Exchange" listed as an item then that means either that you have not activated NovaBACKUP B.E. with your version 18.x or newer license key, the B.E. software is running in Trial mode, you are using an NFR key, or the edition of NovaBACKUP is NOT Business Essentials.
Here is what the web page should look like if your registration was successful which provides a download link at the bottom of the web page to download for your NovaBACKUP Granular Restore software:
If instead of the above screen you get a login page displayed to enter a username and password, it means that your license that the license that is in place in NovaBACKUP is not a Business Essentials license, possibly it is for Server or PC, or NovaBACKUP is running in trial mode which is unsupported to obtain Granular Restore.
2. Once you download and save the NovaBACKUP Granular Restore executable installation file, make sure to store that file in a safe place as you will not be able to utilize the Help menu function again to utilize the "Help" menu -> "On The Web" -> "Granular Restore for MS SQL and Exchange" menu function again to register for and download that installer file in the future since the web system only allows a one-time registration of that component.
