How to change the client language manually (all versions)

NovaBACKUP client supports twelve languages. You can change the displayed language of the client after installation by editing the “LanguageId” registry key.

This key is located at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NovaStor\NovaStor NovaBACKUP]

Set the “LanguageId” value to the Hexadecimal code for your preferred language (see table below). For example, “409” sets the client to English (US).

Steps to change the client language:

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NovaStor\NovaStor NovaBACKUP].
3. Double-click the “LanguageId” entry and set its value to the desired Hexadecimal locale ID from the table below.
4. Restart both the “NovaBACKUP Backup/Copy Engine” service (nsService.exe) and the NovaBACKUP client app (NovaBackX.exe) to apply changes.

NOTE:

After changing the Language it is 100% required that you restart the "NovaBACKUP Backup/Copy Engine" service ("nsService.exe" is the task name) and the client GUI app

Previous logs will remain in the old language; new logs will use your selected language.*
